| Q |
How
long has the Ainsty Farm Shop been running?

|
| A |
Ainsty
Farms Direct was formed as a co-operative of six local livestock
farmers in 1998, to sell their own produce directly to the consumer
through farmers' markets and local deliveries. In Summer 2001
we obtained premises and opened our farm shop, this coincided
with founder member Sam Blacker's decision to give up farming
and he then took over the full time running of the business
with the assistance of fellow founder member Stuart Beaton.

| Q |
How
do you ensure your products are fresh?
 |
| A |
Sam
and Stuart are personally involved at all stages of the process,
from selecting the produce to displaying it in the shop. Their
years of experience ensure the highest standards of freshness
at all times. Our packaging is specially developed for the food
industry, so if you select home delivery your order will reach
you in the best condition.
 |
| Q |
I
have never bought fresh products on-line, is it easy to do?
 |
| A |
We
have taken time to make the ordering process as simple and
straightforward as possible. Have a look at our section on
"How to buy on-line." If you think there is anything
we could make easier for you then please let us know.

|
| Q |
How
long do you take to deliver?
 |
| A |
This
very much depends on the type of produce you order. Some products
can be delivered within a couple of days, whilst others can
take a little longer. We take great pride in ensuring that all
meat is properly " hung" and matured for maximum flavour
before despatch, this can sometimes take up to 3 weeks.
On
receipt of your order we will notify you of a delivery date,
either by telephone or email. If you want to check in advance
then please give us a call on 01423 331897. Your credit card
will be debited on the day we despatch your order.
 |
| Q |
How
are the weights of your meat products calculated?
 |
| A |
All
weights shown on our website are approximate. This is due to
the nature of the product and the fact that no two cuts are
the same. Weights shown are always fresh meat net of packaging.
 |
| Q |
What
if there is a problem with my order?
 |
| A |
If
you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, please
call Sam or Stuart on 01423 331897 and they will personally
deal with your complaint.
 |
| Q |
Are
all your farmers and producers known to you?
 |
| A |
Yes,
we are in constant contact with all our suppliers. We naturally
have an interest in their ongoing success and many of our suppliers
are personal friends going back many years. We feel it is important
to rebuild the links destroyed by the foot and mouth crisis
and value the contribution each different producer makes to
our websites product range.
 |
| Q |
How
do your prices compare with other online farmers shops?
|
| A |
Our
pricing policy reflects the high quality of the products we
offer. We are sure that you will feel all of our products represent
excellent value. There are NO hidden costs and Postage and Packaging
is passed on at cost to you.
 |
| Q |
Why
do you only offer products manufactured around the Vale of York?
 |
| A |
We
are very excited by the breadth and diversity of the products
available from North Yorkshire and this website allows you to
enjoy these products. We are enthusiastic about all the products
we sell and hope you agree how delicious they are!
